School Sport Victoria (SSV) are excited to announce that Team Victoria AFL registrations are open for U15 boys and girls. Registrations close on the 16th of March 2023. 

The School Sport Victoria (SSV) AFL representative program provides a development platform for Victorian students to challenge themselves against Australia's best school aged atheletes, in the School Sport Australia (SSA) Championships. 

To be eligible to register/apply for team tryouts, individual students must:

• be a full-time student that attends school regularly with a School Sport Victoria school;
• have their registraion endorsed by their school principal;
• be available to attend selection trials and training sessions; and
• meet the costs of participation. 

AFL Barwon would like to congratulate the following players who have been selected by Geelong Falcons for the 2023 Pre-Season squads.

Epworth Geelong will continue as a major partner of AFL Barwon and naming rights holder of Female Football in the region for 2023.

Epworth has been a proud partner and supporter of Female Football and the entire region since the beginning of the partnership in 2018, and both parties are excited to see this continue through 2023.

Epworth will retain naming rights to all divisions of Senior Female Football, as well as division 1 of all our competitive underage Female competitions. In addition to the previous years, the Epworth branding will be on all Senior Female, Under 19 Female and Under 16 match footballs, as well as the playing jumpers for these Competitions.

AFL Barwon is excited to announce the Colac RSL Colac & District Football Netball League fixture for the 2023 season.

The 2023 season kicks off on March 25th with the traditional opening match-up between Irrewarra-Beeac and Alvie at Central Reserve. The A-Grade Netball encounter has some added meaning following last year’s 1-point Grand Final thriller.

The remaining clubs kick off their seasons on April 1st with Senior Football Grand Finalists, South Colac, and Irrewarra-Beeac the marquee game of the weekend.

The Round 2 fixtures see a Good Friday clash between Alvie and Colac Imperials at Alvie. All other clubs will play their Round 2 games on April 15th.  

There are two byes in the season with a split round across the weekends of May 20th and May 27th, and a full league bye on July 1st.
