Geelong Amateur vs Ocean Grove
Two of the Bellarine’s fiercest netball rivals are set to square off once again, as Ocean Grove takes on Geelong Amateur in the 2025 A Grade Grand Final.
This isn’t just another match — it’s the continuation of a gripping finals rivalry that’s defined the past few seasons.
After back-to-back Grand Final defeats to Ocean Grove, Geelong Amateur are desperate to flip the script, while the Grubbers are eyeing another chapter of dominance.
Ocean Grove come into the Grand Final full of belief, as they look towards a historic three-peat.
The Grubbers have been the benchmark in A Grade netball over the past few years, winning back-to-back premierships and proving time and time again they can deliver when it matters.
Having faced the same scenario as last year throughout their finals campaign, Grubbers Captain, Emily Moroney is excited for the weekend,
“We are really excited… we know what to expect and we are pumped and ready to go.”
They’ve built a winning culture – and they'll be out to prove they’re still the team to beat.
For Geelong Amateur, this Grand Final is personal.
After falling short in 2023 and 2024, the Ammos are determined to go one better.
They’ve had a strong season, showing growth, grit, and a determination to evolve their game.
Ammos are fresh coming off a bye, playing their second game in a month,
Geelong Amateur Captain, Keisha Guilmartin is raring for the weekend and the opportunity to bring some silverware back to Queens Park.
“We’ve got a full squad that’s at full strength again and everyone is raring to go.
“After the last few years, I think it would be pretty phenomenal to get that win again and bring the cup back to Queens Park”.
Ammos come in with momentum having won their last two encounters against the Grubbers, most recently in the Qualifying Final.
Redemption will be front of minds as they look to win their first premiership since 2022.
Will Ocean Grove achieve a historic third consecutive premiership?
Or will Geelong Amateur produce the breakthrough, their faithful supporters have been craving?
