JOB ALERT - Finals Volunteer
AFL Barwon provides governance and strategy development for Football and Netball across the Barwon region.
We are seeking volunteers to join our team and gain valuable experience in the sporting industry.
As a finals volunteer, you will have the opportunity to perform duties and undertake responsibilities aligned with the roles of the Female Football Coordinator, Male Football Coordinators – Junior & Senior, and the Netball Coordinator.
Key Responsibilities:
The successful candidate may have the following responsibilities on any particular workday:
- Welcome attendees and provide a friendly, helpful first point of contact at finals venues
- Use digital ticketing systems to scan or sell tickets at entry points
- Manage cash or EFT payments securely
- Assist with crowd flow and ensure safe entry and exit procedures
- Monitor processes to verify re-entry or valid access
- Assist in setting up and packing down match-day signage, activations, and venue infrastructure
- Support team check-in processes and liaise with match managers as needed
- Assist in match-day operations including score reporting and general match day support.
- Support AFL Barwon staff in coordinating fixture flow, umpire liaison, and result verification
- Provide insights or support around competition compliance and finals protocols
