Reports & Tribunal Statement – Week 5

AFL Barwon wishes to advise the Match Review Panel has reviewed the requests and reports from matches played on the weekend and the following charges were laid.

Charges Laid:

Michael Govus, North Geelong FNC, has been reported for kicking Luke Speziare, Werribee Centrals FNC in the second quarter of the Reserves game played on Saturday April 29th.

In summary, this case was heard at the AFL Barwon Regional tribunal with the player found guilty and receiving a five-match sanction.

 

Benjamin Smith, Modewarre FNC, has been reported for striking Jayden Coon, Bannockburn FNC in the fourth quarter of the Under 16 game played on Saturday April 29th.

In summary, the player was offered a two-match sanction which has been accepted.

 

Kyle O’Toole, Corio FNC, has been reported for striking in the first quarter of the Colts game played on Saturday April 29th.

In summary, the player was offered a two-match sanction which has been accepted.

 

Liam Slaven, Bell Park FNC, has been reported for front on contact on Jordan Love, Newtown & Chilwell FNC in the first quarter of the Colts game played on Saturday April 29th.

In summary, the player was offered a one-match sanction which has been accepted.

 

Michael Sacco, Ocean Grove FNC, has been reported for striking Ryan Gatgens, Drysdale FNC in the fourth quarter of the Reserves game played on Sunday April 30th.

In summary, the player was offered a one-match sanction which has been accepted.

 

Samuel Fonseca-Hately, Grovedale FNC, has been reported for striking Connor Pickett, Ocean Grove FNC following an investigation into the Under 16 game played on Sunday April 23rd.

In summary, this case was heard at the AFL Barwon Regional tribunal with the player found guilty and receiving a two-match sanction.
