Training Protocols Update

AFL Barwon wishes to keep it’s community updated regarding return to train protocols for both football and netball.

FOOTBALL

It is great to see a number of clubs have returned to small group training, and working hard to ensure the required State Government & AFL Victoria protocols are being adhered to.

Following the State Government’s recent announcement for the easing of restrictions as of June 1st, AFL Victoria has advised football clubs can train with a maximum of one group of 20 per oval.

Please also note that one of the requirements for compliance is for the club to appoint a Covid-19 Safety Officer, who along with other relevant club officials is to complete the Covid-19 infection control training accreditation, a copy of which must be forwarded to:

NETBALL

Well done to all Netball clubs for following and adhering to the current Government restrictions in place for returning to training. We are excited by the Government announcement that further changes to netball training will commence from the 1st of June

Netball Victoria have released amended protocols and procedures for Netball based on the new Government restrictions. All the information can be found using this LINK.
