The AFL Barwon Match Review Panel wishes to advise of it’s findings of the weekend’s football.
As requested by the officiating umpires and Winchelsea FNC, the MRP viewed vision of an incident in the fourth quarter of the Round 7 GDFL Senior match between Thomson and Winchelsea.
The MRP deemed that Jackson Macleod, #50 Thomson deliberately kneed Jye Price, #31 Winchelsea, making high contact to the face in a manner that was reportable by nature.
The MRP has offered the Thomson player a two-match set penalty. Thomson have until 10am, Tuesday June 4th to notify if they wish to challenge the set penalty at the tribunal.
Further, no reportable incidents were detected in the minor melee that ensued following the incident.
As requested by the officiating umpires, the MRP reviewed vision of alleged contact with an officiating umpire by Jack Baker, #5 Belmont Lions during the fourth quarter of the Round 7 Senior GDFL match between Inverleigh and Belmont Lions. The MRP deemed contact was incidental, and was not of a reportable nature. No charge has been laid.
