MRP Findings- 15/7

The AFL Barwon Match Review Panel have made their findings from the weekend’s football.

TRIBUNAL HEARINGS

Sam Jacka, #14 Thomson was reported by the officiating umpire for an incident involving Blake Taylor, #20 Werribee Centrals during the second quarter of the Round 13 Senior GDFNL match between Werribee Centrals and Thomson. The Thomson player has been offered a two-match set penalty for charging. Thomson are challenging the set penalty at the tribunal. The hearing will take place at Buckley’s tomorrow night.

Tom Limb, #10 Queenscliff was reported by the officiating umpire for an incident involving James Donaldson, #7 Anglesea during the second quarter of the Round 13 Senior BFNL match between Queenscliff and Anglesea. The incident was not captured on vision. The incident has been referred directly to the tribunal. The hearing will take place at 7.30pm at Buckley’s, on Tuesday 16th July.

SET PENALTIES

The MRP reviewed vision of an incident involving Tom Clarke, #14 Anglesea and Tom Limb, #10 Queenscliff during the second quarter of the Round 13 Senior BFNL match between Queenscliff and Anglesea. The Anglesea player has been charged with careless front-on contact. The MRP has offered a two-match set penalty. If Anglesea wish to challenge the charge, they must notify by 10am, Tuesday 16th July.

OTHER INCIDENTS

At the request of the officiating umpire, the MRP reviewed vision of an incident involving Billy Beardsell, #33 St Albans and Jack Blood, #6 St Mary’s during the third quarter of the Round 12 Senior GFNL match between St Albans and St Mary’s. The MRP found there to be no reportable offence. No charges were laid.

At the request Drysdale FNC, the MRP reviewed vision of alleged high contact from Jack Heathcote, #21 Torquay on Tevan Nofi, #11 Drysdale during the Round 13 Senior BFNL match between Torquay and Drysdale. The MRP deemed the umpires decision to pay a free kick to the Drysdale player at the time was the correct course of action, and no further charges were laid.

At the request of the officiating umpire, the MRP reviewed vision of an off the ball incident involving Darren Chesterman, #55 Werribee Centrals and Sam Jacka, #14 Thomson during the third quarter of the Round 13 Senior GDFNL match between Werribee Centrals and Thomson. The MRP found there to be no reportable offence against the Werribee player. No charges were laid.

At the request of the officiating umpire, the MRP reviewed vision of an alleged incident involving David Sablich, #54 Werribee Centrals and Sam Jacka, #14 Thomson during the third quarter of the Round 13 Senior GDFNL match between Werribee Centrals and Thomson. No vision was captured of the alleged incident, thus no charges were laid.
