Michelle Gerdtz


Held many roles with Netball Victoria, including General Manager of High Performance and Commercial Operations at from 2015–2016. Was the General Manager of Netball Operations at Netball Victoria two years previous, and the Manager Sponsorship & Marketing, Netball Victoria from 2013 – 2014. Two year before that Michelle was Competitions Manager for Netball Victoria until 2012. Also held the Sport Manager for the Australian University Sport at the Australian Masters Games in 2012 – 2013.

Involved in local football at a administration since 2001, when she was on the General Committee of the Bell Park Netball Section from. Michelle also served as President of the Bell Park Netball section from 2009 until 2013. In between that, Michelle been  a Board Member for Belrec Inc (Bell Park Sport & Rec Club, 2011-present),  and President of  Bell Park Sport & Recreation Club Football & Netball Sections, 2014 – 2015. She is also a Life Member Bell Park Sport & Recreation Club after Playing 100+ netball games for Bell Park.

Nicola Wojcik


Employed by Worksafe managing the communications & stakeholders for the Geelong Transition of Worksafe from Melbourne. On the Water Corporation 2014 – 15 in Perth W.A., managing communications & stakeholders for the groundwater replenishment project. With Energy Australia from 2003 – 13 as Corporate Affairs Manager/Project Manager. With BHP Billiton from 2001 – 03 as Principal of Public Affairs and Community Relations Advisor based in Port Headland.

Experience in local sport includes-

Competed 2015 Melbourne Half Marathon

In 2014 joined Geelong West St Peters FNC to be with her two sons who play U/9 and U/10 football there.

Other relevant experience includes Vice President of the Geelong West Kindergarten since 2015

On the 2016 Committee for Geelong Leadership program

Patrick’s Primary School sponsorship coordinator for the Irish Folk Festival since 2015

Bob Hallett


Professional mechanical engineer. Worked at Ford Motor Company (Manufacturing Operations) Geelong, holding senior executive roles in the manufacturing and plant engineering areas for over 25 years, in a 36 year career. Involved in strategic business planning as well as day to day management activities.

Involved in local country football since 1992 in the following capacities at Geelong Football Umpires League, as running field umpire (324 games), senior field umpires coach and observer (2005 and 2006) and administrator (as member of Geelong Football Umpires League Board of Management from 1994 to 1997 and 2005 to 2007). Life Member of Geelong Football Umpires League 2005.

Involvement in several committees and councils that have required strategic and governance participation in the development of the critical business needs of the particular organisations involved.

Ian McTaggart


Employed by CSIRO in agricultural animal research in both Melbourne and the Western District of Victoria for 36 years. With the opening of AAHL in Geelong, the animal exotic disease facility, was Manager of Experimental Animal Facility for 10 years. Other roles included Communication & Industry Liaison Officer and Training Coordinator.

Roles in sport and community groups included various President, Secretary and Treasurer positions with North Melbourne Cricket Club, Deakin Athletic Club, Ocean Grove Football & Netball Club, Caramut and Lonsdale Golf Clubs and Ocean Grove Primary School Council. Involved with Ocean Grove Football and Netball Club as team manager, junior co-ordinator and Club Administrator for over 25 years.   Life member of the Deakin Athletic Club, the Ocean Grove FNC and the Bellarine Football and Netball League.

Football & Netball Geelong Commissioner from 2000 to 2013:

Policy development (for example, racial vilification and Incorporation compliance)

Financial benchmarking for clubs.

Involvement in VCFL and AFL Vic IT reference groups in development of the current web based data bases, including regional training for implementation by administrators.

Role in development of similar Netball data bases.

Richard Underwood


Regional Production Manager at Telstra, oversees a large works program & workforce. Areas of responsibility are Telstra’s mobile’s construction, switch program, Fixed Radio and State Emergency Services Networks.

Former Commissioner of Football and Netball Geelong, former Portarlington FNC President and Secretary, Geelong Football League Central and more recently Goal Umpire.

President of the Portarlington Mussel Festival and Member of Christian College Ltd.

Andrew Wierzbowski


Principal in self employed Geelong accounting practice – LBW Chartered Accountants, which is ranked as the 11th largest regional accounting firm throughout Australia. Have operated within the public accounting profession for over 38years in the business and taxation fields with a particular emphasis on closely held family businesses.

Was actively involved as Club Treasurer and President with Newtown & Chilwell Football Club for 22 years from 1973 to 1994. Joined the Football & Netball Geelong Commission in 2005 and became Chairman in 2009. Held this position for 4 years until 2012. Was appointed as a Commissioner of the newly formed AFL Barwon Football Commission in 2013.

Have been awarded Life Membership of both the Geelong Football League and Newtown & Chilwell Football Club.
