AFL Barwon Match Review Panel Findings- 8/4

AFL Barwon advises the Match Review Panel has completed its review of the weekend’s football.

 

SET PENALTIES

Brett Blair, #12 of South Barwon has been cited for intentionally striking Bailey Brogden, #26 of St Albans during the fourth quarter of the Round 1 Senior GFL match between South Barwon and St Albans at McDonald Reserve, on Saturday April 6th.  The player has been offered a one match Set Penalty. The club has until 10.00am on Tuesday, April 9th to notify whether they wish to challenge the set penalty at the tribunal.

 

OTHER INCIDENTS

Colac vs Leopold

The MRP reviewed vision of an incident involving Tom Ruggles, #11 of Leopold and Kody Spokes, #3 of Colac during the Round 1 Senior GFL match between Colac and Leopold at Central Reserve, on Saturday April 6th.

The MRP found the Leopold player had no case to answer, with the officiating umpire awarding a free kick at the time. No charge was laid.

St Mary’s vs St Joseph’s

The MRP reviewed vision of an alleged headbutt involving Jacob Welsh, #8 of St Mary’s and Josh Hovey, #8 of St Joseph’s during the Round 1 Senior GFL match between St Mary’s and St Joseph’s on Saturday April 6th.

The MRP deemed the vision inconclusive, thus no charge was laid against the St Mary’s player.
