The 2019 GFNL and BFNL senior Netball Interleague sides will be headed by region royalty, with record-breaking coach Jason Woolley taking charge of the GFNL side, whilst former BFNL A Grade Best & Fairest winner and Barwon Heads coach Olivia Young (née Wilson) leading the BFNL outfit.
The Junior Netball Interleague coaches for both leagues have also been confirmed, with Newtown & Chilwell’s Kyle Dohnt to coach the GFNL 19 & Under side, and Drysdale A-Grade coach Leah Wilson the BFNL 17 & Under team.
The appointments of Woolley and Young is a huge boost to both the GFNL and BFNL sides, ahead of their May 18 meetings with the Northern FNL and GDFNL respectively. Woolley has overseen GFNL powerhouse Newtown & Chilwell to a remarkable six consecutive A Grade Premierships, with the Eagles not having lost a game since the 2012 season. Young has lead BFNL side Barwon Heads with distinction over the past few seasons, whilst still maintaining a high level of play on court- the star Wing Attack taking home the 2017 A Grade BFNL Best & Fairest.
